THE CHECK-IN

Three women sitting at a table during a meeting or gathering, smiling and laughing, with drinks and papers on the table, indoors with curtains and a large window behind them.

The Check-in is a monthly gathering designed to give you a little more space for yourself and for meaningful connection with others.

Come to the next Check-In

A new theme each month.

Every Check-In explores a different theme — a question, idea, or part of the journey worth making space for.

Pause.
Reflect. Connect.

You'll move through thoughtful questions, guided reflection, conversation, and shared experiences intentionally designed to help you slow down, look inward, and connect beyond the surface.

You might come to think about something you've been carrying. You might meet someone new. You might hear a perspective that shifts the way you see something. You might simply enjoy a few hours away from your usual routine.

There isn't one right way to experience it.

You just show up, make some space, and see what comes up.

Why The Check-In?

Arrive As You Are

Settle in, grab a coffee, and take a breath. Come exactly as you are. You don't need to know anyone or have anything figured out.

Make Some Space

We'll slow things down with thoughtful questions and guided reflection, giving you time to notice what's going on beneath the surface.

Take Something With You

Before you leave, you'll have a chance to capture something you want to carry forward. A thought, a question, a realization, or a new perspective.

What To Expect

See What Comes Up

There isn't a prescribed outcome or one thing you're supposed to leave with. Maybe you gain some clarity. Maybe a perspective shifts. Maybe you meet someone you wouldn't have otherwise. Maybe you simply enjoyed a few hours outside your usual routine.

Have A Conversation That Matters

You'll have opportunities to share, listen, and hear perspectives from people you may have just met. Sometimes the most meaningful part is realizing someone else has been thinking about something too.

The Check-In happens every month.

Each gathering stands on its own, so you can join whenever it works for you. Come once. Come often. Bring a friend. Come on your own.

Miss a month? No problem. We'll be here next month.

The questions and conversations will change, but the invitation stays the same:

Make some space. Pause. Reflect. Connect.

What Others Loved:

After our first gathering, we asked one simple question: “What was one thing you loved?”

Here’s what they shared.

Silhouette of a face with closed eyes next to steam, suggesting a facial steam or facial treatment.
A woman with curly black hair smiling and standing at a doorway, holding a tablet. She is wearing a black t-shirt and pants, with a name tag on her chest. A person in a blue hoodie is pointing at her from below, and there is a whiteboard or poster in the background with red text.

Guided With Intention

The Check-In is created and facilitated by Rachael Adams, founder of JourneyStrength.

After years of pursuing the next goal as an athlete, Rachael learned how valuable it can be to slow down, ask better questions, and make space to hear yourself think.

She created The Check-In as a place to bring that practice into a room with other people because sometimes a different perspective, a shared experience, or a simple “me too” can change the way we see our own journey.
